Topic = Your choice of an African-American person or event that reflect any of the following themes: leadership, history, and/or progress.
Two minute maximum length for the video.

Graphics

Take your own photos or find pictures on the Internet. Save them to your Google Drive, iCloud Drive, or a flash drive, then copy them to a new folder in your home drive in class.
When searching Google online for graphics > click on Images > Search Tools > Size > Large this will show only high quality, high resolution graphics, then select Usage rights > Labeled for reuse with modification
Convert .gif images to .jpeg using Preview - Go to File > Export and select jpeg under the Format pull-down menu

Add all pictures to iMovie -

Select and drag your graphics into iMovie

Crop, Ken Burns, effect, transitions, timing
Create a title and credit slides

Copy and paste the text that you have saved in Google Docs, or in Pages to the iMovie.

Format and edit your text

Create soundtrack in GarageBand

Share > Share to Media Browser, or Share > Song to Music, or Share > Export Song to disc and drag your sound file into iMovie
Open iMovie (if it is already open, quit and re-open)
Select Audio > GarageBand > find your song and drag to your iMovie timeline

Export iMovie Project - File > Share > File and click the share icon in the upper right hand corner of iMovie, then save in your home drive
