Nephthys

Hi we are learning about Egypt in Mrs.Hill 4th period class.Egypt's religion had many Gods and Goddesses such as Nephthys. Her mother was the goddess of the sky,she married her brother Seth and had a son named Anubis. Her husband Seth was an enemy their brother Oriris, and Seth murdered Osiris, and Osiris became the god of the underworld. One day Nephthys disguised herself as her sister Isis and slept with her brother Osiris and had a son named Anubis. She did this because her husband (Set) was described as ugly.Set soon found out the adultery when a flower was left by hid brother Osiris. Her son Anubis was the god mummification and lead the dead to the underworld. Her name means "Mistress of the House. she was also thought to be the goddess of the sky and can turned into a vulture. She and her sister Isis were very close they are often seen in funerary scenes.

ANUBIS
(Anubis was described as a jackal, and had black furans wearing a Roman dress.) Anubis is one of the most iconic gods. In the Greek version of his name is Anubis ,but in Egypt he was known as Anpu. Anubis is in charge of weighing the heart. He was first thought to the son of Ra and Hesat but then chafed to be the son of Nephthys and Osiris or Nephthys and Seth.
