Layers of the Atmosphere
• The first layer in the atmosphere is the Troposphere.
• The Troposphere is the layer where Earths weather occurs.
• The second layer is the Stratosphere.
• The Stratosphere is where the ozone is stored.
• The third layer is the Mesosphere.
• The Mesosphere helps us because sit slows down meteors and makes it a little bit less dangerous.
• The fourth and final layer of the atmosphere is the Thermosphere.
• The Thermosphere is the biggest layer on the atmosphere it is so big that they added two layer behind it the ionosphere and the exosphere, it has no limit.

  • Climate: The long-term, average conditions of temperature, precipitation, winds, and clouds in an area.

  • Microclimate: A small area with climate conditions that differ front those around it.

  • Tropical Zone: The area near the equator, between about 23.5 degrees north latitude and 23.5 degrees south latitude.

  • Polar Zones: The areas near both poles, from about 66.5 to 90 degrees north and 66.5 to 90 degrees south latitudes.

  • Temperate Zones: The place between the tropical zones and the polar zones.

  • Marine Climate: The climate of some coastal regions, with relatively warm winters and cool summers.

  • Continental Climate: The climate of the centers of continents,with cold winters and warm or hot summers.

  • Ocean Current: A large stream of moving water that flows through the ocean in a regular pattern.

  • Windward: The side of a mountain range that faces the oncoming wind.

  • Leeward: The side of a mountain range that faces away from the oncoming wind.

  • Monsoon: Sea or land breeze over a large region that changes direction with the seasons.
