Do
you know who Nirvana is? If you don’t that’s fine, but I’m here to tell
you about this amazing band. Nirvana consists of three members: Kurt
Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic. This band originated in
Aberdeen, Washington and was formed by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic
in 1987. Nirvana is considered alternative rock and grunge. Kurt was
the lead singer/guitarist, Krist was the bassist, and Dave was the
drummer. Nirvana is one of the most influential rock bands in the
modern era, selling over 25 million records in the United States and
selling over 75 million records worldwide. They chose the band name
based of the meaning of “Nirvana” which means paradise or heaven.
Nirvana has 3 studio albums, 21 singles, 3 live albums, and 2 eps. The
albums are: Bleach, Nevermind, and In Utero and the 3 live albums
are: MTV unplugged in New York, From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah,
and Live at Reading. Some of Nirvana’s most known songs are: Smells
Like Teen Spirit, Heart Shaped Box, Come As You Are, Sliver, The Man
Who Stole The World, and All Apologies. Nirvana didn't
officially end but they did take a break to find a new singer.
Nirvana is still active but they replaced Kurt Cobain. If you didn't
know why they replaced him, its because he died on April 4, 1994, he
was found dead with a self-inflicted shotgun wound. It still saddens
many people, but listening to the great music makes up for most of the
sadness.
